- <table width="680"><tbody><tr><td width="507"><p><strong>Network Engineer - OT / Network Segmentation</strong></p><p>Contract: Initial 3 months with strong likelihood of extension<br /> Level: Mid-Senior Network Engineer<br /> Project: OT Network Segmentation Program</p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>A large organisation is undertaking an OT network segmentation and modernisation program across multiple locations throughout Australia.</p><p>An additional Network Engineer is being brought into the program to increase delivery capacity and support the continued rollout.</p><p>You will take ownership of allocated locations and independently progress them through the full project lifecycle - from network discovery and remediation through to VLAN segmentation, implementation and migration. Further work is planned beyond the current program, creating a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial 3-month engagement.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Network Discovery & Design</p><ul><li>Perform discovery of existing network and OT environments.</li><li>Identify assets currently connected to the network and understand existing network topology.</li><li>Review and validate existing network documentation and diagrams.</li><li>Identify gaps in network and asset documentation.</li><li>Work with operational and business stakeholders to validate the current environment.</li><li>Determine appropriate network segmentation requirements.</li><li>Create and update network diagrams and technical documentation.</li></ul><p>Network Remediation & Site Readiness</p><ul><li>Assess readiness ahead of network segmentation and migration.</li><li>Identify fibre, cabling, switching and infrastructure requirements.</li><li>Identify and address legacy network infrastructure.</li><li>Coordinate network remediation activities.</li><li>Work with internal teams and external vendors to prepare environments for implementation.</li></ul><p>Network Segmentation</p><ul><li>Design and implement VLANs and network segmentation.</li><li>Configure and troubleshoot Aruba and Cisco switching environments.</li><li>Work within Cisco Stratix industrial networking environments.</li><li>Prepare and configure switches prior to deployment.</li><li>Coordinate implementation activities with internal teams and external vendors.</li><li>Ensure network environments are ready for OT device migration.</li></ul><p>Implementation & Migration</p><ul><li>Execute network changes and migrations.</li><li>Migrate OT devices from legacy networks onto newly segmented networks and appropriate VLANs.</li><li>Troubleshoot connectivity and network issues throughout implementation.</li><li>Work closely with operational and OT teams during migration activities.</li><li>Coordinate with external vendors where required.</li><li>Validate connectivity and network operation following migration.</li></ul><p>Technical Environment</p><p>The environment includes:</p><ul><li>Aruba switching - key requirement</li><li>Cisco networking</li><li>Cisco Stratix industrial switches</li><li>VLANs and network segmentation</li><li>OT / industrial networking</li><li>Manufacturing environments</li><li>Rockwell / Allen-Bradley</li><li>Siemens</li><li>PLCs, HMIs and SCADA environments</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>We are looking for a mid-to-senior Network Engineer, ideally with 5+ years of networking experience, who can take ownership of allocated workstreams and operate independently.</p><p><strong>Essential Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Strong hands-on Aruba switching experience.</li><li>Strong Cisco networking knowledge.</li><li>Strong VLAN and network segmentation experience.</li><li>Experience configuring and troubleshooting network switches.</li><li>Network discovery and remediation experience.</li><li>Network implementation and migration experience.</li><li>Ability to read, interpret and create network diagrams.</li><li>Strong network troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Ability to independently manage allocated workstreams.</li><li>Strong stakeholder and vendor coordination skills.</li><li>Exposure to Rockwell and Siemens environments.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Highly Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Cisco Stratix experience.</li><li>Previous OT network segmentation projects.</li><li>Manufacturing or industrial networking experience.</li><li>Rockwell / Allen-Bradley exposure.</li><li>Siemens exposure.</li><li>Experience migrating industrial or OT devices between networks.</li><li>Exposure to PLC, HMI and SCADA environments.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Why Consider This Contract?</strong></p><p>This is an opportunity to join a significant OT network transformation program where you will have genuine ownership of your work from initial discovery through to implementation.</p><p>Deep experience across every OT technology is not essential.
