The Role As a Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of fund accounting and reporting activities. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you will ensure the integrity of financial data and support ongoing operational requirements. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Assisting with the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly Fund NAV calculations</li><li>Preparing and reviewing bank and cash reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness</li><li>Supporting the preparation of financial statements and investor reporting packs</li><li>Monitoring fund activity, including cash flows, trades, income distributions, and expenses</li><li>Assisting with month-end close processes and fund performance analysis</li><li>Maintaining, updating, and validating fund accounting records and documentation</li><li>Performing accurate data entry and transaction processing across multiple systems</li><li>Supporting both external and internal audit requests and ensuring compliance with policies and controls</li></ul> This role will suit someone who enjoys working with numbers, has excellent attention to detail, and thrives in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment. Your Profile To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:<ul><li>A degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field</li><li>A minimum of 2 years' experience in Fund Accounting or within a similar accounting/finance role (fund administration, investment accounting, or financial services highly regarded)</li><li>A solid understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliation processes</li><li>Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and an organised approach to workload management</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment</li><li>Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables beneficial)</li></ul> You may be studying towards or considering CPA/CA qualifications - this organisation encourages and supports professional development.
