Reporting to an experienced Finance Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on month-end work, technical accounting, and exposure to a large, complex organisation.</p><p>You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end activities, and partnering with the wider finance function.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Complete end-to-end <strong>month-end close</strong>, including journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Prepare and analyse <strong>Profit &amp; Loss reports</strong> with commentary on variances</li><li>Assist with <strong>technical accounting matters</strong>, including <strong>leases (AASB 16)</strong> and <strong>revenue recognition (AASB 15)</strong></li><li>Support year-end processes, including audit preparation and statutory reporting</li><li>Partner with the commercial finance team to ensure accurate financial insights</li><li>Maintain financial controls, process improvements, and documentation</li><li>Ad-hoc financial analysis and project support as required</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>CA or CPA <strong>qualified</strong>, or <strong>more than halfway through studies</strong></li><li>Strong hands-on <strong>month-end accounting experience</strong> gained locally in Sydney</li><li>Solid understanding of <strong>leases</strong> and <strong>revenue recognition</strong> standards</li><li>Experience working in a <strong>larger or complex business environment</strong> is highly beneficial</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data</li><li>High attention to detail and strong organisational skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a large team</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What's On Offer</strong></p><ul><li>Work in a <strong>global organisation</strong> with strong mentorship and progression opportunities</li><li>A stable, well-structured finance team with over 30 local team members</li><li>Flexible hybrid working model (3 days in CBD office, 2 days remote)</li><li>Exposure to both technical and commercial accounting</li><li>Permanent full-time position with long-term career development</li></ul><p> </p></td></tr></tbody></table><p><em>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
