You'll be in a hands-on, practical setting, working closely with finance and operations, where you can ask questions, learn quickly, and make an impact.</p><p>You'll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth culture where people stay long term, leadership is approachable, and contributions are recognised.</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">What You'll Do</span></strong></p><p>You will support and progressively take ownership of the payroll function across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of weekly payroll.</p><p>You will manage weekly payroll Processing, including timesheet validation, pay adjustments, and processing across multiple entities and employee types. A key part of your role will be to support or own end-to-end payroll activities, including terminations, final pays, and payroll reporting.</p><p>You will also contribute to payroll reporting &amp; reconciliations, assisting with management reports and ensuring data accuracy across systems. In addition, there will be minimal HR &amp; payroll Administration support, including drafting employment contracts, processing variations, and handling general administrative tasks.</p><p>Furthermore, you will gain exposure to compliance &amp; multi-entity payroll, working across different pay cycles, agreements, and systems within a business operating across Australia and New Zealand.</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Who You Are</span></strong></p><p>We are open to two profiles for this role, depending on your experience level.</p><p>You may be a developing payroll professional with 1-2 years' experience in payroll and accounts, looking to step into a role where you can build your capability and grow into end-to-end payroll.</p><p>Alternatively, you may be an experienced payroll officer, confident managing payroll processes and looking for a stable environment where you can take ownership and add value quickly.</p><p><strong>Across both profiles, you will bring... </strong></p><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven environment</li><li>A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work within a manual or semi-automated environment</li><li>Confident communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across the business</li><li>Solid Excel skills and confidence working across multiple systems</li></ul><p>Previous exposure to various payroll systems will be beneficial, but not essential.</p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Apply Today</span></strong></p><p>If you are reliable, grounded, and take ownership of your work. You will manage a team of 6 that is close-knit, stable, and down-to-earth, with a strong focus on delivering quality work and taking pride in what they do. You will work closely with both local leadership and international stakeholders.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">This role is initially a six-month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">You will receive a complete handover of duties therefore setting you up for success.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style="text-align: justify;"><li>Overseeing the June financial year-end</li><li>Managing the audit alongside the incumbent and professional services firms, ensuring all audit requirements are met</li><li>Working with professional services firms to ensure all tax compliance obligations are fulfilled</li><li>Overseeing the finance team (AP, AR, payroll, bookkeeper, and collections)</li><li>Ensuring all statutory reporting is accurate and compliant</li><li>Managing, reporting, and submitting month-end results to overseas headquarters</li></ul><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Who You Are</strong></p><p style="text-align: justify;">We're looking for someone who leads from the front and sets a strong example, with the ability to effectively guide and support the team.
