Director of FP&A Job Description

A director of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) focuses on an organization’s financial planning, forecasting and analysis activities. The ideal candidate usually has at least 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with significant experience in a management role. Advanced degrees such as an MBA and certifications like the CPA or CMA are often preferred. This role requires advanced strategic thinking and communication skills, as the director of FP&A often collaborates closely with senior leadership.
