They may support receptionists or secretaries as needed. Administrative assistants work directly with the legal support supervisor and must maintain a professional working relationship with lawyers and legal staff. Employers generally prefer two to five years of work experience. Administrative assistants must be detail oriented and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
