You'll handle escalated technical issues, deliver cloud and on-prem maintenance, and drive project work across complex IT environments.</p><p><strong>Skills and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years' technical experience in a support environment, ideally within an MSP or similar setting.</li><li>Industry-recognized technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware).</li><li>Solid understanding and proven success with ITIL support methodologies.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills-able to thrive under pressure.</li><li>Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Microsoft365, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, and Windows Server (2012 and newer).</li><li>Practical experience supporting remote/virtual desktop environments (desirable).</li><li>Networking and firewall expertise; hands-on experience with Azure, VMware ESXi/vSphere (v6.0+), and Linux is desirable.</li><li>Proven practical knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware including cloud deployments (IaaS).</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware, desktops, laptops, printers, Microsoft desktop applications, and networking issues efficiently.</li><li>Install and configure servers (physical and virtual), firewalls, desktops, laptops, and other infrastructure devices.</li><li>Manage endpoint solutions and Active Directory users/computers.</li><li>Multitask to resolve various technical issues and document your work clearly for effective team knowledge sharing.</li><li>Liaise with project teams to facilitate system implementations and upgrades.</li><li>Support pre-sales and Service Delivery Managers in both customer-facing and internal projects.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rota and ensure adherence to information security and compliance standards.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering a high-quality facilities service across a multi-site UK portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant and well-maintained workplaces that support business objectives.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong><br /> You will lead both hard and soft facilities management, managing a small team and a range of third-party suppliers.
