Employing c.65 employees - this is the base for the EMEA operation which has presence in mainland Germany. </p><p>The Role</p><p>The EMEA Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day financial management and reporting operations for the EMEA business, covering entities in the UK, Germany & Poland. Previous experience of UK/US GAAP would be beneficial as would Rubicon or SAP exposure. - <h1>Financial Controller | 14-Month Maternity Cover</h1><p><strong>£85,000 - £90,000 + 10% Pension | 4-Day Working Week | Uxbridge</strong></p><p>I'm currently working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced <strong>Financial Controller</strong> on a <strong>14-month maternity cover</strong> basis.</p><p>This is a fantastic opportunity for a <strong>qualified accountant</strong> looking for a senior finance role with genuine ownership, strong exposure to the Finance Director and a highly attractive working pattern.</p><h3>The Package</h3><ul><li><p><strong>£85,000 - £90,000 salary</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>10% employer pension contribution</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>4-day working week</strong> - full-time hours worked across 4 days, with <strong>every Friday off</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>Only 2 days per week on-site in Uxbridge</strong></p></li><li><p>14-month maternity cover</p></li><li><p>Senior position reporting directly to the Finance Director</p></li></ul><h3>The Role</h3><p>You'll take ownership of the <strong>financial control, accounting and compliance</strong> function, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting and continuous improvement across the finance operation.</p><p>Key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li><p>Leading financial control, accounting and compliance activities</p></li><li><p>Full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls</p></li><li><p>Monthly reporting and SOX reconciliations</p></li><li><p>Statutory accounts and tax reporting</p></li><li><p>Cash flow management and bank reconciliations</p></li><li><p>Overseeing accounts payable and debtor management</p></li><li><p>Supporting budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning</p></li><li><p>Overhead and budget variance analysis</p></li><li><p>Supporting and challenging budget holders across the business</p></li><li><p>Leading the year-end statutory accounting process</p></li><li><p>Supporting internal and external audits</p></li><li><p>Ensuring appropriate financial controls and processes are maintained</p></li><li><p>Leading and developing members of the finance team</p></li></ul><h3>About You</h3><p>We're looking for a <strong>fully qualified accountant</strong> with <strong>5+ years' post-qualification experience</strong>, ideally gained within a <strong>manufacturing, SME or project-based environment</strong>.</p><p>You'll need strong technical accounting and financial control experience, alongside the confidence to operate autonomously, influence stakeholders and lead a small finance team.</p><p>Experience with <strong>IFRS / US GAAP</strong> and <strong>IFS</strong> would be advantageous.</p><p>Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is commercially minded, analytical, hands-on and comfortable operating in a complex environment.</p><p><strong>If you're a qualified Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Finance professional and the idea of £85-90k, a 4-day working week and every Friday off appeals, I'd be very keen to speak with you.</strong></p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
