This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, operationally focused business with a strong commitment to sustainability and a reputation for excellence.</p><p><strong>Job Title: </strong>Finance Business Partner<br /> <strong>Location: </strong>Bicester - Hybrid working (1-2 days onsite per week) - (covering sites across the East of England)<br /> <strong>Salary: </strong>Up to £55,000 + generous car allowance + annual bonus</p><p>Hybrid working | Stakeholder engagement | Qualified accountant</p><p><br /> The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner to operational and engineering teams across multiple sites, delivering insightful financial analysis and driving performance improvement in this relatively easy-to-understand business environment.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with operational staff and engineering managers to drive business performance through insightful financial analysis and commercial challenge.</li><li>Produce monthly management accounts, KPIs, budgets, forecasts and investment appraisals in line with agreed timetables.</li><li>Monitor KPI performance and deliver detailed cost analysis on key variable costs including maintenance, disposal and consumables.</li><li>Work closely with the management accounting team during month-end processes, with FBPs supporting the broader financial reporting cycle.</li><li>Ensure robust financial controls, purchase order compliance and adherence to accounting standards across your designated sites.</li><li>Identify commercial risks and opportunities, working with senior management to maximise value and mitigate risk.</li><li>Occasional travel to sites across the East of England (limited travel due to work demands, typically 1-2 days per week in the office).</li></ul><p><strong><br /> The Candidate</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA preferred initially, though finalists or QBE may be considered for exceptional candidates).</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business insight.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - comfortable engaging with operational teams and senior leadership.</li><li>Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys getting involved beyond just the numbers.</li><li>Comfortable working autonomously while being part of a wider FBP team (6 in total).</li><li>Previous experience in operational or manufacturing environments is advantageous.</li></ul><p><strong><br /> Culture and Benefits</strong></p><p>This is a business that values its people and offers genuine opportunities for career development. Organic growth see's them recruiting for a Company Accountant.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>This is a top to bottom role from transactional finance right through to Management/Financial Accountants.</p><ul><li> Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and comprehensive financial result packs for board review.</li><li>Budgeting & Analysis: Manage annual budget roll-overs and perform variance analysis against prior year spend and actuals.</li><li>Cash Flow Management: Conduct monthly cash flow analysis to ensure adequate working capital and liquidity.</li><li>Ledger Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and monitoring payment cycles.</li><li>Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations alongside monthly virtual card, income, and intercompany loan reconciliations.</li><li>Banking & Payroll: Schedule supplier payments, manage payroll in coordination with external teams, and ensure all tax deadlines are met.</li><li>Stakeholder Communication: Report directly to directors and the board, providing ad-hoc reporting and answering complex financial queries.</li><li>Operational Support: Provide coverage for client accounting functions and collaborate with external accountants for documentation and audit support.</li></ul><p><strong>Your Profile</strong></p><p>To apply for Balham based role you will need to hold a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA OR CIMA).
