<p>Robert Half are working with a global logistics business to recruit a Senior Group Accountant to support during an acquisition on a 6-month interim contract. The key focus will be supporting reporting, business partnering and ad-hoc projects where necessary through a period of significant change and anticipated change of ownership. You will gain high level exposure to C-suite and help provide oversight for 30+ countries and 6 strategic Regions.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As the Senior Group Accountant, you would be supporting with:</p><ul><li>Hands on support and responsibility for key initiatives that help the Finance function transition to the new ownership structure.</li><li>Involvement in the monthly consolidated financial reporting for the Group - P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow to predetermined Group deadlines. (As part of the wider Group Finance team)</li><li>Detailed reviews of balance sheet reconciliations for our various countries against Group accounting policies.</li><li>Key involvement in the use of the global consolidation and reporting system (Tagetik) across our global sites.</li><li>Responsibility for the accounting for the Group Recharge overhead spend</li><li>Possible involvement in improving the intercompany reconciliation, reporting and settlement process.</li><li>Liaise regularly with Group CFO, Regional Directors and Group Executive team.</li><li>Any other support required by the Group CFO during this period of change.</li></ul><p><strong>Your Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified ACA/ACCA with minimum 3 years post qualified experience</li><li>Previous experience of global monthly consolidation and working knowledge of IFRS/FRS102 as well as significant intercompany processing</li><li>Able to work from the office in Dartford a minimum of 4 days per week</li><li>Prior experience in a similar interim / contract role during a transition period would be beneficial but not necessary.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></p><p>A day rate of between £450-550/day inside IR35 (dependant on experience) should represent fair market value for you. There is potentially for this role to extend past the initial contract depending on the team growth plans over the 6 months.
