They are located in the City of London and offer a hybrid working model.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>An experienced, hands-on Head of Finance / FP&A to professionalise, automate, and elevate the finance function while acting as a strategic partner to the business.</p><p>This role blends execution and leadership, managing day-to-day finance while building a best-in-class FP&A capability to support continued rapid growth.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Profile Sought</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)</li><li>8-10 years PQE in fintech and/or with lending experience</li><li>Proven experience scaling finance in a high-growth, fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong FP&A capability with advanced modelling skills</li><li>Hands-on operator who can still operate strategically</li><li>Confident, articulate, and commercially minded</li><li>Experienced in building structure, pace, and rigour into finance teams</li><li>Comfortable taking ownership and "speeding things up" for the business</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Confident communicator capable of engaging with investors and senior stakeholders</li><li>Challenge the business constructively and support strategic decision-making</li><li>Help shape and articulate commercial strategy</li></ul><p><strong>FP&A & Commercial Modelling</strong></p><ul><li>Build and own robust financial models, including revenue forecasting</li><li>Develop FP&A processes from the ground up (budgeting, forecasting, metrics)</li><li>Translate commercial activity into clear, actionable insights</li></ul><p><strong>Finance Operations & Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and develop a small, capable finance team</li><li>Own production of management reporting and month-end processes</li><li>Automate existing manual processes (currently spreadsheet-heavy)</li><li>Move revenue recognition and month-end close into systems</li><li>Improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and speed</li></ul><p><strong>Systems & Process Improvement</strong></p><ul><li>Drive automation across finance processes</li><li>Work with Xero and the in-house loan management system</li><li>Play a key role in future ERP implementation</li><li>Continuously solve complex problems and improve how finance supports the business</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
