Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a leading UK business operating within the agricultural and supply chain sector to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.This is a highly visible role partnering with senior leadership, commercial teams and operational stakeholders across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, business performance analysis and strategic decision-making while driving greater use of data and insight across the organisation.The position offers excellent breadth, combining commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering and performance reporting within a complex and dynamic operational environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and decision support.</li><li>Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to improve business visibility and performance monitoring.</li><li>Produce regular management information, analysis and reporting for operational and leadership teams.</li><li>Support working capital management through inventory and purchasing analysis.</li><li>Lead the annual budgeting process, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow planning.</li><li>Prepare regular forecasts and reforecasts throughout the year.</li><li>Manage supplier rebate tracking, reporting and reconciliation processes.</li><li>Support supplier payment planning and cash flow forecasting activities.</li><li>Partner with commercial teams to assess supplier terms and commercial arrangements</li><li>Support month-end, half-year and year-end financial close activities, including key provisions.</li><li>Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and strategic insights for senior leadership.</li></ul>Skills & Experience<ul><li>ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.</li><li>Previous experience within a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance or FP&A role.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable business insight.</li><li>Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.</li><li>Advanced Excel capabilities and strong financial modelling skills.</li><li>Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools, ideally including Power BI and IFS.</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence business decisions through data-led recommendations.</li><li>Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.</li></ul>Salary & Benefits<ul><li>£60,000 Salary DOE + Benefits.</li><li>Hybrid working arrangement.</li><li>12-month fixed-term contract with significant business exposure.</li><li>Opportunity to partner directly with senior leaders and commercial teams.</li><li>Broad role covering FP&A, business partnering and strategic analysis.</li><li>Collaborative and supportive culture.</li></ul>This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to make an immediate impact in a business-facing role that offers genuine influence, variety and senior stakeholder exposure.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
