<p>Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join an exciting Engineering company experiencing huge growth based in Avonmouth. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:</p><p><strong>£75,000 - £85,000 plus 15% bonus, hybrid working and wider benefits package</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Role responsibilities will include but not limited to: </strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements including a robust forecast, reporting all variances against budget</li><li>Ensure a full and complete balance sheet review is carried out monthly</li><li>Monitor and report finance departmental KPIs, ensuring corrective actions are implemented where performance falls below target</li><li>Manage and develop the finance team</li><li>Promote a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative finance culture</li><li>Manage all accounting operations including AR, AP and GL whilst maintaining ownership of ERP and associated finance systems</li><li>Drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scalability, reporting capability and financial controls</li><li>Preparation of monthly management and annual accounts, ensuring any bank reporting and HMRC submission requirements are adhered to</li><li>Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting</li><li>Ensure forecasts are robust, data-driven, and aligned to operational activity</li><li>Coordinate and direct the annual audit process within the business</li><li>Provide financial insight, challenge and support to business unit leaders and project teams</li><li>Translate financial information into clear commercial recommendations, supporting decision-making, margin improvement, cost control and strategic growth initiatives</li><li>Ensure robust project accounting, forecasting, revenue recognition and margin reporting across all projects</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Person specification:</strong></p><ul><li>Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)</li><li>Strong technical accounting experience with familiarity around IFRS</li><li>Currently operating at a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager level with line management responsibility</li><li>Demonstrable experience with process and systems improvements</li><li>Excellent communicator across all levels of a business</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><strong>£75,000 - £85,000 plus 15% bonus, hybrid working and wider benefits package</strong></strong></p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
