HR Business Partner
<p>We are working with a not for profit organization that wants to add a collaborative <strong>Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)</strong> to their team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who excels in <strong>employee relations</strong>, <strong>HR Administration</strong>, and <strong>disability management</strong>, and who thrives in a dynamic environment where they can influence positive workplace culture, support leaders, and drive organizational effectiveness. The HRBP will partner closely with leaders and employees to provide guidance, resolve HR issues, and implement practices that align with organizational values and legislation. Here are the main responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing advice, coaching, and conflict-resolution support.</li><li>Conduct and oversee workplace investigations, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies.</li><li>Assess trends in employee relations and recommend proactive solutions to leaders.</li><li>Support performance management processes, including corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and documentation.</li><li>Interpret, apply, and advise on collective agreements, employment legislation, and organizational policies.</li><li>Coordinate and manage disability claims, including workplace injuries, short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD) cases.</li><li>Work collaboratively with employees, leaders, insurers, and healthcare providers to support safe and timely return-to-work (RTW) plans.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures.</li><li>Identify opportunities for accommodation and modified work to support sustainable employee reintegration.</li></ul><p>This is a permanent, full-time role that is primarily in office position with flexibility. <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated experience as a HR Business Partner.</li><li>Experience managing disability claims and return-to-work programs.</li><li>Strong knowledge of employment standards, human rights legislation, and (if applicable) collective agreements.</li><li>Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations with diplomacy and professionalism.</li><li>CHRP/CPHR designation or working toward it is considered an asset.</li></ul>
