Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role is responsible for supporting and executing full-cycle recruitment activities to attract and hire qualified talent.</p><p><br></p><p>The Recruiter works closely with HR team members and hiring managers to coordinate recruitment processes, support timely hiring, and help deliver a consistent candidate experience. This position uses established recruitment practices, tools, and guidelines to support organizational hiring needs.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Recruitment and Selection</strong></p><ul><li>Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation</li><li>Partner with hiring managers and collaborate with HR team members to understand position requirements and recruitment timelines</li><li>Create, post, and maintain job requisitions on internal and external platforms in alignment with organizational standards</li><li>Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews to assess qualifications, skills, and experience</li><li>Coordinate interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and HR team members</li><li>Conduct reference checks and coordinate third-party background screening processes</li><li>Maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs</li><li>Support recruitment strategies, including participation in job fairs and campus recruitment initiatives</li><li>Research and recommend sourcing channels for active and passive candidates</li><li>Ensure recruitment practices comply with internal policies and applicable employment legislation<strong> </strong></li></ul><p><strong>Candidate Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Provide timely and professional communication to candidates throughout the recruitment process</li><li>Schedule interviews and respond to candidate inquiries</li><li>Help deliver a consistent and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process</li><li>Support onboarding coordination in collaboration with HR team members</li></ul><p><strong>HR Systems and Recruitment Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Update job profiles and manage postings across multiple platforms using the applicant tracking system</li><li>Coordinate candidate background checks, ensuring timely follow-up and compliance</li><li>Support onboarding documentation through HR systems to help facilitate a smooth new hire experience, where required</li><li>Assist with drafting and distributing offer letters and employee announcements with accuracy, where required</li><li>Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment documentation for reporting and analysis</li><li>Support new hire orientation, as required</li><li>Assist with the development of policies and procedures</li><li>Support HR team members in compiling recruitment data for reporting, presentations, and correspondence</li><li>Adhere to organizational policies and departmental procedures</li><li>Perform other related duties, as assigned</li></ul><p><br></p>

  • We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a utilities and infrastructure organization in Markham, Ontario on a Contract basis. This hybrid opportunity will provide contract recruitment support while helping the team manage a steady volume of hiring needs across corporate functions. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end hiring activities, build strong talent pipelines, and work closely with business leaders to deliver an efficient and detail-oriented recruitment experience.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage the full recruitment cycle for assigned corporate vacancies, from intake discussions through to offer coordination and pre-employment steps.<br>• Advertise openings through suitable hiring channels and tailor posting strategies to attract talent with relevant experience in competitive markets.<br>• Identify and engage prospective candidates using sourcing platforms, referral networks, job boards, and existing talent pools.<br>• Assess applications, shortlist suitable individuals, and conduct initial screening conversations to evaluate fit and interest.<br>• Arrange interviews between candidates and hiring teams, ensuring timely communication and a smooth scheduling process.<br>• Prepare offer documentation and support onboarding-related activities, including background checks and other required screenings.<br>• Keep candidate records, hiring updates, and requisition details accurate and current within the applicant tracking system.<br>• Handle a concurrent workload of approximately 10 active requisitions while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and attention to detail.<br>• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand immediate and upcoming workforce needs and adjust sourcing plans accordingly.<br>• Contribute to ongoing improvements in recruitment practices, tools, interview materials, and talent acquisition resources.
