- <p>We are looking for an experienced Lead Android Developer to join a consumer-focused team building high-impact mobile experiences for users across Ontario. This long-term contract opportunity is fully remote and offers the chance to contribute to a widely used Android application while working closely with product, design, and engineering partners. The role centres on creating scalable features, improving performance and reliability, and delivering high-quality customer experiences in a fast-moving environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Design, build, and enhance Android features for a high-traffic mobile application using modern development practices and Kotlin-based tooling.</p><p>• Create engaging customer-facing experiences across key product journeys such as content discovery, purchasing flows, and live order visibility.</p><p>• Develop and refine dynamic feed and recommendation-oriented interfaces that support personalized engagement within the Android app.</p><p>• Partner with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teammates to translate business goals into well-executed mobile solutions.</p><p>• Deliver production-ready code at a steady pace while supporting experiments that influence growth, engagement, and retention.</p><p>• Strengthen application quality by improving performance, maintaining stability across a wide range of Android devices, and addressing challenges in low-connectivity conditions.</p><p>• Investigate and resolve issues across owned features from initial diagnosis through implementation and validation.</p><p>• Contribute to a clean, maintainable, and modular codebase that supports long-term scalability and efficient collaboration.</p><p>• Work with internal development and deployment platforms, version control practices, and CI workflows to support reliable feature delivery.</p>
