We are supporting a Canadian-based not-for-profit healthcare organization in their search for a Compliance & Privacy Officer in their Vancouver office. This is a 1 year contract role with potential to extend. About The Role: The Compliance & Privacy Officer is responsible for ensuring that the business' practices related to organizational compliance and quality meet legislative, regulatory and contractual requirements, international standards and best practices. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop, maintain and monitor a quality program to improve general organizational compliance and quality.</li><li>Support with contracts and agreements inclusive of advising on contractual requirements, drafting, reviewing and updating templates.</li><li>Monitor compliance with Imagine Canada's Standards Program, writing and submitting reports in order to maintain accreditation.</li><li>Maintain a privacy management program that is accountable and abides by Canadian federal, provincial and territorial legislation and regulations, international standards and best practices.</li><li>Monitor privacy compliance, assessing effectiveness and revising program controls as necessary.</li><li>Coordinate and follow up on external PIAs, audits and inspections.</li><li>Manage privacy breaches, inquiries and complaints.</li></ul>

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade compliance professional who enjoys navigating complex regulations, partnering across functions, and improving the efficiency and compliance of international trade processes. As a key member of the Finance and Administration team, you will help ensure customs compliance while supporting business goals, operational performance, and cost-saving initiatives. You’ll work closely with customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep goods moving compliantly and efficiently.
