  • <p>We are looking for an experienced <strong>IT Systems Administrator</strong> to join our client&#39;s team and support the day-to-day operation of their IT environment. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who is comfortable working across L1/L2 technical support, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and infrastructure.</p><p><br></p><p>The role is well suited to someone who has progressed beyond traditional help desk support and has gained practical experience administering and troubleshooting systems, networks, cloud technologies, and end-user environments. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Manager and provide technical support to a small Ottawa-based environment while contributing to the ongoing improvement and security of the organization&#39;s technology infrastructure.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Provide hands-on L1/L2 technical support to approximately 30 users, troubleshooting hardware, software, Microsoft 365, connectivity, and other IT issues.</p><p>• Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and related Microsoft technologies.</p><p>• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, mobile devices, printers, IP phones, and other end-user technology.</p><p>• Support network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, and Internet connectivity.</p><p>• Administer and troubleshoot Cisco and Sophos network and security equipment.</p><p>• Monitor and maintain servers, cloud infrastructure, virtual machines, databases, and related IT services.</p><p>• Support user onboarding by preparing accounts, laptops, mobile devices, software, and access permissions.</p><p>• Perform system updates, software deployments, patching, backups, and restoration activities.</p><p>• Troubleshoot network, infrastructure, and application issues and identify opportunities to improve system reliability and performance.</p><p>• Support IT security through access controls, endpoint protection, firewalls, VPNs, backups, and other security technologies.</p><p>• Assist with the implementation and support of third-party applications, cloud services, and IT solutions.</p><p>• Maintain accurate IT documentation, technical procedures, asset information, and end-user guides.</p><p>• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and support hardware, software, licensing, and infrastructure requirements.</p><p>• Provide technical support for meetings, conferences, and other organizational activities, including occasional support outside regular business hours.</p><p>• Recommend and implement improvements to the organization&#39;s IT infrastructure, systems, and support processes.</p>
