THE ROLE:Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team and play a key role in financial reporting, full-cycle accounting, and stakeholder management. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting requirements.Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements</li><li>Complete journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations</li><li>Manage intercompany transactions and related accounting activities</li><li>Support financing draws, capital calls, and project cash management</li><li>Prepare GST filings and assist with tax compliance requirements</li><li>Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts</li><li>Collaborate with lenders, investors, partners, and external auditors</li><li>Assist with year-end audit preparation and audit support</li><li>Review accounting work completed by junior team members</li><li>Provide mentorship and guidance to two direct reports</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen financial controls</li></ul>ABOUT YOU:You are a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical accounting responsibilities with stakeholder collaboration and team leadership.
