Based in Calgary, Alberta, this Long-term Contract opportunity will guide complex projects from planning through delivery while coordinating business, technology, and leadership stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring strong structure, clear communication, and sound judgement to keep priorities aligned, risks managed, and outcomes measurable. Responsibilities: • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI business enablement projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and objectives remain aligned with broader modernization goals. • Build and maintain detailed project roadmaps, including milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and critical activities required for successful execution. • Coordinate across business units, technical teams, data leaders, external advisors, and program stakeholders to keep workstreams connected and moving forward. • Monitor project progress closely, identify emerging risks or scheduling pressures, and drive practical resolution plans to minimize delivery impacts. • Run governance routines for the workstream, prepare clear updates for leadership forums, and support informed decision-making at the executive level. • Produce concise status reporting that highlights achievements, upcoming priorities, financial considerations, key issues, and dependency management needs. • Maintain accurate project records, planning materials, and documentation in line with established project management standards. • Support senior leaders and sponsors by preparing presentations, summaries, and materials for steering discussions and executive reviews. • Contribute to related modernization priorities as needed, including initiatives with cross-functional operational, data, or technology dependencies.

The organization delivers a diverse range of projects throughout BC, including commercial buildings, industrial warehouses, tenant improvements, institutional projects, corporate roll-outs, and multi-family developments. They are looking to add an experienced Pre Construction Lead to their team, with the primary focus on commercial construction. This is an excellent opportunity for a leader who enjoys being involved from the early stages of a project through tender and award and wants to work closely with senior leadership, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and the project management team. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead the estimating process for commercial construction projects, from initial budgets through final tender and award.</li><li>Review architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil drawings, specifications, and other tender documents.</li><li>Complete detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.</li><li>Solicit, analyze, and negotiate pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.</li><li>Develop competitive and accurate bids while identifying project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.</li><li>Participate in bid strategy, value engineering, and risk reviews.</li><li>Prepare conceptual budgets and assist with cost planning during the pre-construction phase.</li><li>Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, consultants, architects, and senior leadership.</li><li>Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the bidding process.</li><li>Monitor market conditions, labour costs, material pricing, and subcontractor availability.</li><li>Support project turnover from estimating into construction, ensuring a smooth transition of budgets, scopes, assumptions, and commitments.</li><li>Assist with change-order pricing and cost analysis as required.</li><li>Manage multiple estimates and competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.</li></ul>
