Learning & Development Manager Job Description

The learning and development manager is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective learning strategies to enhance employee performance and development. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of learning principles. Learning and development managers collaborate closely with business leaders to identify training needs, develop innovative learning solutions, and measure the impact of L&D initiatives on organizational performance.

Typical learning & development manager duties:

Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and talent management goals. Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps, performance issues, and development opportunities. Design and develop engaging learning programs and materials, including instructor-led training, e-learning, and blended learning solutions. Deliver high-quality training programs and workshops to employees at all levels. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and measure ROI. Build strong partnerships with HR, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
