HR Business Partner Job Description

An HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic HR professional who collaborates closely with specific business units or departments to align HR initiatives with their operational and strategic objectives. This role involves providing expert HR advice, coaching leaders on talent management, organizational development, and employee relations, and driving HR programs that support business outcomes. The HRBP acts as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into HR solutions. This position demands strong business acumen, excellent consulting and influencing skills, and a deep understanding of HR practices. Typically, 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, with specific HRBP or senior generalist experience, is required. A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration is essential, with a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation highly preferred. A comprehensive understanding of Canadian employment law and industry-specific HR challenges is crucial.
