An Audit/Assurance Services Associate is an entry-level professional who supports audit engagements by performing foundational audit procedures and maintaining accurate working papers. This role involves conducting basic audit testing, assisting with reconciliations, and contributing to the overall audit process. The Associate works under the guidance of senior team members, gaining exposure to various industries and financial reporting complexities. This position requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a foundational understanding of accounting principles. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is essential, with a keen interest in pursuing a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. A basic understanding of Canadian accounting and auditing principles is preferred.

Typical audit/assurance services associate duties:

Perform basic audit testing and prepare audit working papers.Assist with financial statement reconciliations and analyses.Gather and organize documentation for audit evidence.Support senior team members in various aspects of audit engagements.Learn and apply Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) and firm methodologies.Communicate with clients to request and clarify information.Identify and document basic accounting or control issues.Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
