We don't just want someone to balance the ledger, we are looking for a forward-thinking Financial Accountant to be a catalyst for workflow automation, data integrity, and smarter reporting.The RoleReporting directly to our Financial Controller, you will take ownership of day-to-day core financial accounting and transactional workflows while actively partnering with leadership to transform finance operations.Our Financial Controller is deeply passionate about AI and emerging tech, creating a rare opportunity: you will have the mandate and support to explore, pilot, and deploy AI tools, automated workflows, and advanced reporting mechanisms across our financial stack.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Core Accounting & Month-End: Support the transactional finance team with AP/AR workflows and manage the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, tax and statutory compliance.</li><li>AI & Workflow Automation: Identify repetitive, manual accounting tasks and leverage AI/automation tools (e.g., prompt workflows, Python/scripts, Zapier/Make, or native AI add-ons) to streamline processes and elevate reporting.</li><li>Up-skilling & Collaboration: Partner closely with the Financial Controller to share insights, evaluate new AI platforms, and foster a tech-forward culture across the finance function.</li><li>Systems & Data Integrity: Champion data hygiene and synchronisation across Xero, our CRM, and billing platforms to ensure revenue recognition and transactional records are accurate and auditable.</li><li>Modern Reporting & Analytics: Develop actionable financial dashboards, variance analyses, and management reports that deliver real-time business visibility.</li></ul>The Perfect Profile (you don't need to meet all criteria):<ul><li>Qualifications: CA / CPA qualified (or actively progressing toward completion) with 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within tech, SaaS, or high-growth environments.</li><li>Systems Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero and modern CRM ecosystems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).</li><li>AI & Automation Mindset: Practical experience using, or a demonstrated passion for testing and implementing, AI tools, automation platforms, or modern BI software to eliminate manual processes.</li><li>Data-Driven Attention to Detail: Proven track record in auditing, reconciling, and cleaning up datasets across integrated business systems.</li><li>Commercial Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical workflows and financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.</li></ul> Job Ref number:06810-0013528465CFBy clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
