<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Company</span></strong></p><p>We're currently partnering with a global leader in specialty ingredients and chemical distribution, to recruit a Purchasing &amp; Inbound Shipping Representative for a 4-6 month full-time contract based in Cheltenham.</p><p> </p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Role</span></strong></p><p>Reporting to the Purchasing &amp; Shipping Manager ANZ, this role is key to ensuring that inbound shipments are processed efficiently and reach customers or the 4PL network on time. You'll play a vital role in supporting growth across the ANZ region by managing purchasing activities, optimising freight costs, and ensuring data accuracy across systems.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative global business, offering exposure to complex international shipping and purchasing processes within a high-performing supply chain environment.</p><p> </p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul><li>Manage the end-to-end process of inbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and efficient integration into the company's 4PL network or direct customer shipments.</li><li>Maintain clear communication with Suppliers/Principals, Shipping partners, Logistics providers, and internal teams across Customer Service and Commercial functions.</li><li>Accurately track, monitor, and report on freight movements, ensuring all data is up to date and compliant within the Freight &amp; Logistics (FNL) system.</li><li>Support purchasing processes - from placing purchase orders and tracking deliveries to allocating costs and maintaining compliance with company policies.</li><li>Contribute to cost optimisation across the supply chain by identifying efficiencies and supporting best practices.</li><li>Collaborate with the Purchasing &amp; Shipping Manager to resolve shipping issues, maintain stakeholder satisfaction, and keep goods flowing smoothly through the network.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Your Profile</span></strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years' experience in managing the shipment and importation of goods, ideally within a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment.</li><li>Sound knowledge of international import procedures, INCOTERMS, and customs regulations.</li><li>Proven experience working with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and 3PL/4PL partners.</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - able to liaise confidently across all levels.</li><li>High attention to detail with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working with ERP or accounting systems; experience with JDE is an advantage.</li><li>A proactive, adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Apply Today</span></strong></p><p>Please send your resume by clicking on the apply button.
