Tax Services Manager Job Description

The tax services manager typically has excellent analytical, technical and organizational skills, along with at least five years of experience working in tax services. Proficiency with Excel and tax software is often required, as is a CPA designation and expertise in accounting for income taxes. These professionals must have strong communication skills and some supervisory experience, as well as a demonstrated ability to work well under tight deadlines. They also need to enhance their visibility — and the firm’s — through professional and community outreach. A master’s degree in taxation is valued.
