Senior Business Analyst Job Description

Companies value senior business analysts with experience in financial analysis, data flow analysis and project management. This position requires strong technology, data analytics and communication skills. At least three to five years of experience as a business analyst is preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project are highly sought. Companies expect a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration, at minimum, but usually prefer a master’s degree.

Assisting with implementation and support of business information systems across multiple departmentsConducting market analysis and analyzing both product lines and the overall profitability of the businessDeveloping and sharing reports that enable advertising, customer service, finance, sales and marketing managers to make better business decisions by understanding geography, supply chain and priceEnsuring business data and reporting needs are metDeveloping and monitoring data quality metrics
