Product managers oversee the development and launch of marketing and creative campaigns designed to promote new or improved products or product lines. They help shape a product’s “story,” which explains the product’s usefulness in meeting target customers’ specific needs and supporting their goals. Product managers need strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills, as their role requires them to work closely with the various teams — such as social media, public relations and sales — responsible for communicating to and engaging with target audiences.
