Fund Manager in Miami, FL

Fund Manager job description

Fund managers should have at least five years of prior work history in investment accounting, product controller work, auditing, accounts payable/accounts receivable or budgeting and experience with various financial products. Proven leadership and supervisory skills, strong verbal and writing abilities, analytical expertise, and proficiency with Excel are highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required, and a master’s degree in business administration is a plus.

Managing the work of staff fund accountantsCommunicating regularly with executive team on fund performanceRecruiting, hiring, evaluating performance of and retaining staffAnalyzing fund performance on daily and monthly basisPricing fund portfoliosReconciling funds cash and positions to outside sourcesPerforming month-end close processes and preparing financial statementsWorking with auditors to prepare and present year-end financial accountsRecruiting, hiring, evaluating the performance of and retaining staff
