Finance Manager - 6 Month FTC Location: Onsite, near Peterborough (5 days per week, no hybrid option) Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (pro rata) Start date: ImmediateRobert Half are delighted to be partnering with a well-established business based near Peterborough to recruit an experienced Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fully onsite role, with no flexibility on working arrangements, offering an exciting opportunity for an accomplished finance professional to step into a pivotal role within the finance function.<h3 data-start="688" data-end="714">Key Responsibilities</h3><ul data-start="715" data-end="1465"><li data-start="715" data-end="1000">Payroll Management<ul data-start="744" data-end="1000"><li data-start="744" data-end="836">Collate and validate payroll information (e.g. overtime, sickness reports, adjustments).</li><li data-start="839" data-end="889">Accurately input data into the payroll system.</li><li data-start="892" data-end="1000">Liaise with and validate reports from external payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payments.</li></ul></li><li data-end="1257" data-start="1002">Month-End Close<ul data-start="1028" data-end="1257"><li data-end="1093" data-start="1028">Lead the month-end process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</li><li data-start="1096" data-end="1176">Prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li data-end="1257" data-start="1179">Provide clear reporting and commentary to senior stakeholders as required.</li></ul></li><li data-end="1465" data-start="1259">Team Development<ul data-end="1465" data-start="1286"><li data-start="1286" data-end="1345">Mentor and train an Assistant Finance Business Partner.</li><li data-end="1465" data-start="1348">Support their development to take on month-end duties and payroll processing confidently after the contract ends.</li></ul></li></ul><h3 data-end="1482" data-start="1467">About You</h3><ul data-start="1483" data-end="1938"><li data-end="1544" data-start="1483">A fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent).</li><li data-end="1640" data-start="1545">Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in a finance manager or similar role.</li><li data-end="1708" data-start="1641">Proven, recent, hands-on experience managing payroll processes.</li><li data-end="1799" data-start="1709">Strong technical accounting knowledge with a track record of running month-end closes.</li><li data-end="1855" data-start="1800">Confident in mentoring and upskilling team members.</li><li data-start="1856" data-end="1938">Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to start immediately.</li></ul><h3 data-end="1953" data-start="1940">Package</h3><ul data-end="2105" data-start="1954"><li data-start="1954" data-end="1995">Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (pro rata).</li><li data-start="1996" data-end="2022">Contract: 6-month FTC.</li><li data-start="2023" data-end="2083">Location: Onsite near Peterborough, 5 days per week.</li><li data-end="2105" data-start="2084">Start: Immediate.</li></ul>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
