  • <p>The Temporary Finance Manager will be a pivotal member of the finance team, providing support to the Financial Controller in establishing a finance function that is optimised and capable of supporting the implementation of the companies strategic plans.</p><p>Main Responsibilities</p><p>* Ensuring the month-to-month maintenance of all project forecast budgets. This will involve an element of set up initially.</p><p>* Involvement in systems improvements/implementations to enhance current accounting processes and controls.</p><p>* Ensuring the budget forecast is maintained and all payments allocated appropriately.</p><p>* Ensure all project payments are processed and reflected appropriately in relevant budget.</p><p>* Conduct frequent discussions with relevant teams to ensure appropriate and accurate budget information is captured.</p><p>* Perform accurate and appropriate budget variance analysis to be presented to head of finance month to month.</p><p>* Perform initial review of VAT returns for submission.</p><p>* Ensure month end close processing dates are communicated to team and adhered to i.e. reconciliation performed and reviewed.</p><p>* Manage audit queries .</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Experience &amp; Background</p><p>* A dynamic, driven, and proactive professional who is attracted to a high growth environment that demands a pro-active approach</p><p>* A qualified accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge (circa 1 year PQE)</p><p>* Demonstrable ability to take responsibility for the production of forecast budgets for central costs and projects</p><p>* Strong communication skills (presentations, reports, documents)</p><p>* Experience in year-end audit procedures and requirements</p><p>* Understanding of financial month end close procedures and timeline to complete</p><p>* Excellent excel proficiency</p><p>* Organised and pragmatic with an ability to find solutions to challenging problems</p><p>* Ability to build strong, cooperative, and productive relationships with the wider team </p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. Therefore, this role is perfect for a strong technical accountant or an auditor who's looking to gain more partnering experience, work closely with financial models and line manage a small team with the overall aim of moving into a more commercially focused skillset. Due to the size of the business, there will be plenty of opportunities for internal career development.</p><p>Hybrid working is supported, with 3 days PW in the office. Once a fortnightly travel is required to their sister office in the South West.
