<p>Robert Half Technology are assisting a global market leading technology consultancy to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer on a contract basis - remote working (occasional visits to their London office)</p><p> </p><p><strong>Role</strong></p><ul><li>The Infrastructure Engineer Will work within teams to launch projects through hands-on implementation, evaluate existing infrastructure and drive improvements.</li><li>Explore the client's needs and collaborate on building a technical roadmap and impactful solution that will support their ambitious business goals.</li><li>Help shape and build Thoughtworks' cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with other practitioners, business development, marketing and capabilities development teams.</li><li>Ensure and build the controls and processes for continuous delivery and evolution of infrastructure and applications, driving automation through all stages of the process.</li><li>Provide expertise and guidance in the areas of DevOps, cloud, platform and infrastructure engineering, both internally and in client sites.</li></ul><p><strong>Profile</strong></p><ul><li>The Infrastructure Engineer will contribute to the design and implementation of enterprise and/or web-scale hosting platforms and can administer application servers, web servers and databases.</li><li>Deep understanding of cloud and virtualisation platforms, infrastructure automation and application hosting technologies with strong hands-on experience in Terraform for provisioning and managing cloud resources.</li><li>History of working with at least one IaaS cloud platform, and two or more application runtime platforms including physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless and databases.</li><li>Write scripts using at least one scripting language and are comfortable building one or more of: Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.</li><li>Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools with different tech stacks including Terraform integration into CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Worked with monitoring systems for availability, performance or security.</li><li>Understanding of security concerns, threats and approaches for dealing with them, including infrastructure platform vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security and software supply chain security and Terraform best practices </li><li>Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools, stress and performance testing</li></ul><p><strong>Company</strong></p><ul><li>Global market leading technology consultancy</li><li>Remote working - occasional visitis to their London office </li><li>Initial 12 month contract </li></ul><p><strong>Salary & Benefits</strong></p><p>The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.</p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions. <p>Robert Half is working with a growing organisation within the infrastructure and public services sector to recruit a commercially astute Senior Procurement Manager to join their expanding team. This is a pivotal role for a procurement professional with a strong background in Facilities Management, indirect spend, and contract negotiation. You'll lead the delivery of category strategies across a range of FM services, IT, consultancy, HR and marketing, ensuring best value and strong supplier performance across the board. Working closely with internal stakeholders and the Head of Procurement, you'll take ownership of complex procurement activity and strategic sourcing from end to end - from tendering and negotiation through to contract award and supplier relationship management.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and manage strategic sourcing and tendering activity for a broad range of indirect categories, with a focus on FM services.</li><li>Develop and execute category strategies that align with procurement policy and deliver commercial value.</li><li>Negotiate high-value, high-risk contracts, ensuring robust risk mitigation and performance KPIs.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand commercial requirements and provide expert procurement guidance.</li><li>Deliver cost savings, supply chain resilience and continuous improvement through proactive supplier engagement.</li><li>Actively manage supplier performance and contract compliance, including the resolution of non-conformance issues.</li><li>Work closely with legal teams to ensure favourable commercial and contractual terms.</li><li>Support the delivery of group-wide procurement projects and collaborate with central teams.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in strategic procurement within FM or indirect spend categories.</li><li>Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and the Procurement Act 2023.</li><li>Skilled in commercial negotiation and drafting tender documentation.</li><li>Strong analytical and market insight capabilities with excellent Excel skills.</li><li>Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence at all levels.</li><li>Willingness to travel across the UK as required.</li></ul><p><strong>What's on Offer</strong></p><ul><li>£65,000 - £70,000 salary</li><li>Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home</li><li>Free and discount travel benefits</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
