Working closely with Operations and Sales leadership, the Director, Finance Operations ensures projects remain on budget, revenue is accurately captured, and profitability targets are achieved.</p><p><br></p><p>This position acts as a strategic business partner, driving accountability, process improvement, and financial performance across the organization.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Job Costing &amp; Profitability</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and enhance job/project costing processes.</li><li>Monitor project performance against budgets and estimates, investigating variances.</li><li>Ensure labour, equipment, subcontractor, and project costs are accurately tracked.</li><li>Identify scope changes and ensure additional work is properly approved and priced.</li><li>Analyze project margins and profitability to support pricing and forecasting.</li><li>Recommend improvements to operational efficiency and financial performance.</li></ul><p><strong>Revenue &amp; Business Performance</strong></p><ul><li>Support and monitor sales activity, pipeline performance, and revenue results.</li><li>Partner with Operations and Sales on forecasting, pricing, and profitability initiatives.</li><li>Oversee revenue tracking and recognition.</li><li>Develop forecasts and financial models to support planning and decision-making.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Billing &amp; Accounts Receivable</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee billing to ensure invoices are accurate and timely.</li><li>Monitor accounts receivable and support collection activities.</li><li>Resolve billing discrepancies and improve billing processes.</li><li>Align billing activities with project costing and operational data.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Management</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee reconciliations, financial controls, and month-end activities.</li><li>Ensure general ledger accuracy, accruals, and reporting integrity.</li><li>Support year-end reporting and audit requirements.</li><li>Maintain compliance with company policies and reporting standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and develop finance, billing, sales support, and administrative team members.</li><li>Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Deliver reporting on profitability, revenue, cash flow, and operational KPIs.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and controls.</li><li><br></li></ul>
