Our client is a growing manufacturing organization with operations across North America and overseas. They are investing in better reporting, stronger financial insight, and more scalable processes as the business continues to evolve. This newly created Senior Financial Analyst role will report directly to the Group Controller and play a key part in building and strengthening FP&A, improving operational visibility, and supporting leadership with timely, meaningful analysis. This is an opportunity to move beyond the numbers, gaining first hand exposure to the operational and strategic drivers behind the business. Key responsibilities • Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting with a strong focus on manufacturing and product operations.• Partner with offshore finance and analysis teams to improve the quality, timeliness, and consistency of reporting.• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.• Explain financial results and operational variances in a clear, practical way for non finance stakeholders.• Help establish and track KPIs tied to manufacturing performance such as scrap, shipping rates, and fill rates.• Develop and monitor dashboards and reporting tools as the business moves toward a new BI environment.• Identify process improvements across finance and operations and help implement practical solutions.• Provide guidance and coordination on accounting and FP&A activities, occasionally stepping in to assist with journal entries or close related tasks.• Gradually assume responsibility for the Controller’s day-to-day operational activities, allowing the Controller to focus more heavily on strategic initiatives.• Connect financial insights to operational decision making and overall business strategy.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a mining organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract. In this role, you will provide immediate support to the corporate accounting function, with a strong focus on consolidations, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis across multiple entities. The position is well suited to an experienced, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can work independently, collaborate with site and corporate teams, and help strengthen accounting processes during a period of complex project activity. Responsibilities: • Lead consolidation support for multiple subsidiaries and ensure financial information is accurately reflected across entities. • Examine historical top-side and consolidation entries, identify issues, and recommend appropriate accounting treatment. • Partner with operating sites and corporate stakeholders to research transactions and resolve accounting questions. • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including adjustments required to support accurate period-end reporting. • Complete general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and clear outstanding items. • Review intercompany activity, reconcile balances between entities, and follow up on variances or unmatched transactions. • Analyze account fluctuations and underlying financial movements to confirm reasonableness and highlight unusual trends. • Assist with the transition of accounting activities into the cloud-based environment and support related clean-up efforts as needed. • Contribute to corporate accounting tasks involving cash activity, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, payroll, and general administrative costs.
