We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join a collaborative finance team in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to contribute across accounts payable, billing support, revenue recognition and reporting, as well as additional month-end activities while working closely with internal stakeholders across the business. The role is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented, dependable with deadlines, and comfortable handling financial transactions in a fast-paced office environment. Responsibilities:• Manage accounts payable activities by reviewing invoices, coordinating approvals, and ensuring payments are issued accurately and on schedule.• Follow up on purchase requests and purchase orders, working with department leaders to confirm documentation is complete and submitted promptly.• Execute payment runs and maintain appropriate controls when handling payment processing responsibilities.• Provide support to the revenue and billing function by assisting with energy billing transactions and related financial records.• Prepare reconciliations and contribute to month-end close tasks to help maintain accurate accounting results.• Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve invoice, payment, and procurement-related questions efficiently.• Use accounting and ERP systems to enter, track, and validate financial information with a high level of accuracy.• Assist with additional finance-related tasks and special assignments as business needs evolve.

In this Intermediate Business Analyst role, you will be coordinating the requirements gathering, rollout and implementation of ERP software solutions for various public-sector customers across Canada. This company has staff based in British Columbia and Alberta, and you’ll be able to work remotely from your home office. And you may occasionally visit their offices in either Vancouver or Edmonton, or Canadian customers in other provinces, from time-to-time (e.g. a few times per year max). The role will focus on working with clients to understand and document their needs and then make technical recommendations on realizing the ERP software and IT solutions. This will involve meeting with external stakeholders to understand their needs, and then delivering solutions according to customer specifications. This is a full-time position, and includes a competitive base salary, paid vacation and extended health and dental benefits.
