We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client on a Contract basis. This role is well suited to an accounting specialist who can manage key close activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support reliable reporting. The successful candidate will also ensure reconciliations and schedules are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Lead monthly closing activities, ensuring entries are recorded accurately and deadlines are met.</li><li>Prepare and post journal entries within the general ledger to support complete and timely financial results.</li><li>Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.</li><li>Maintain and update schedules related to leases, capital assets, and debt balances.</li><li>Review and reconcile inventory records along with other assigned accounts to support financial accuracy.</li><li>Complete bank reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure cash activity is properly reflected.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of financial reports by compiling data and validating supporting documentation.</li><li>Provide day-to-day mentorship and practical support to accounting team members as needed.</li></ul>
