  • We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain and Distribution Specialist to support procurement, inventory planning, and distribution operations in Toronto, Ontario. This position plays a key role in selecting vendors, managing purchasing activities, and helping ensure products are available where and when they are needed. The role also contributes to efficient campus ordering processes, strong supplier performance, and continuous improvements across shipping, inventory, and fulfillment activities.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Source and assess suppliers by reviewing cost, product quality, service dependability, production capacity, delivery timelines, and distribution capabilities.<br>• Obtain and analyze vendor quotations, then present purchasing recommendations that align with internal approval practices.<br>• Manage supplier information, including pricing, specifications, contract terms, and service performance records, while maintaining productive vendor relationships.<br>• Issue and monitor purchase orders, and work with Finance and internal stakeholders to address shortages, substitutions, billing variances, and delivery delays.<br>• Support campus ordering programs by coordinating vendor portal setup, catalogue management, user access, pricing updates, and ordering processes.<br>• Determine appropriate product flow models by identifying items suitable for direct vendor shipment versus centralized stocking or assembly.<br>• Track order activity and service levels across vendor-direct and head office channels, resolve exceptions, and provide timely updates to campus teams.<br>• Plan inventory using demand history, seasonal patterns, growth projections, lead times, and product launches, while maintaining reorder points and replenishment strategies.<br>• Maintain accurate purchasing, catalogue, and inventory records in Business Central and related systems, and assist with process updates or system-related improvements.<br>• Provide operational support during peak periods by assisting with receiving, picking, packing, labelling, shipping, warehouse organization, and safety procedures.
