In this role, you will help protect enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and end-user environments by identifying risks, responding to threats, and driving practical security improvements. You will work across infrastructure, identity, endpoint, and network security while supporting compliance efforts and promoting a strong security culture throughout the organization.</p><p><br></p><p>This role is hybrid 2 days onsite in North York! </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events across cloud, network, endpoint, and identity environments using SIEM and threat detection tools.</p><p>• Conduct vulnerability assessments, interpret findings, and partner with technical teams to prioritize and track remediation activities.</p><p>• Administer and enhance security controls within Microsoft technologies, including Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra, Microsoft 365, and Azure.</p><p>• Strengthen firewall and perimeter protections by configuring, reviewing, and troubleshooting platforms such as Check Point and Cisco security technologies.</p><p>• Support incident response efforts by analyzing suspicious activity, containing threats, documenting outcomes, and recommending preventive measures.</p><p>• Contribute to governance, risk, and compliance initiatives by helping align security practices with recognized frameworks and internal requirements.</p><p>• Promote security awareness by assisting with education programs, guidance materials, and practical recommendations for reducing user-related risk.</p><p>• Assess and improve security architecture with a focus on Zero Trust principles, network segmentation, identity protection, and endpoint resilience.</p>

This Long-term Contract position is suited to an IT Architect who can bridge enterprise IT and operational technology environments across complex manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will shape resilient infrastructure strategies, strengthen security and connectivity standards, and provide architectural leadership across multiple sites.
