In this role, you will oversee accounting activities for a portfolio of properties while helping deliver accurate reporting, meaningful financial analysis, and dependable operational support. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys working with detail-driven financial information, partnering with cross-functional teams, and identifying smarter ways to improve reporting and accounting processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage complete accounting activities for an assigned property portfolio, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, producing financial statements, and reviewing budget performance.<br>• Analyze monthly results by comparing actuals to forecasts and budgets, then explain notable variances and the factors influencing property performance.<br>• Provide accounting support for property transactions such as acquisitions, sales, refinancing, and related financing activities, including required financial setup and follow-up.<br>• Partner with teams across operations, corporate accounting, investor reporting, payroll, finance, acquisitions, and accounts payable to resolve questions and provide accurate financial insight.<br>• Contribute to broader portfolio reporting needs by supporting executive summaries, investor reporting packages, property tax matters, reconciliation activities, and lender-related requirements.<br>• Assist with external and investor-related audits by preparing supporting documentation, responding to requests, and helping ensure timely completion of deliverables.<br>• Prepare year-end working papers and schedules, and support the review of U.S. partnership tax return information for investors where required.<br>• Evaluate existing workflows and recommend practical improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and support more effective reporting and analysis.
