We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join a real estate and property team in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to support senior accounting operations across development-related activities in a collaborative hybrid environment with three days in office. The successful candidate will contribute to day-to-day financial processing, reconciliations, and reporting while helping maintain accuracy across transactions and project records. Responsibilities: • Support senior accounting staff with daily financial activities related to development and property accounting. • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure records are complete and accurate. • Assist with GST filings and maintain supporting documentation for indirect tax reporting. • Process accounts payable transactions, review invoices, and confirm coding aligns with project and account requirements. • Coordinate funding movements and internal transfers while tracking related entries through the accounting system. • Monitor holdbacks and process holdback releases in accordance with contract and payment terms. • Enter forecasting and budget-related information provided by senior team members into financial tracking tools. • Prepare journal entries, reconciliation schedules, and other supporting working papers as required. • Assist with contract and account reconciliations for project-related transactions and balances.
