We are looking for a dedicated Director of Accounting to oversee and guide all financial operations within our organization in North Vancouver, British Columbia. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can manage financial planning, reporting, and compliance, while driving organizational growth and efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure financial goals align with broader business objectives.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs and investments.<br>• Develop and implement financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategy.<br>• Oversee tax compliance and optimize taxation strategies to ensure adherence to regulations.<br>• Ensure the organization’s financial systems are compliant and support operational efficiency and future growth.<br>• Manage the annual operating budget to maximize the effective use of financial resources.<br>• Streamline procurement and inventory processes to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.<br>• Prepare and oversee accurate financial reports that comply with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).<br>• Collaborate with senior management to assess investment opportunities and make informed decisions regarding capital structure.<br>• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.<br>• Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance and adequate insurance coverage.
