- We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a family investment office in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract basis. This position will provide maternity leave coverage while leading the full finance and accounting function across a varied portfolio spanning distribution, hospitality, and real estate. The successful candidate will bring strong financial oversight, sound judgement, and the ability to support reporting, budgeting, and operational accounting needs in a multi-entity environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities and ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date.<br>• Manage accounts payable activities, including reviewing transactions, monitoring coding, and maintaining appropriate approval controls.<br>• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation as required.<br>• Develop, monitor, and refine budgets and forecasts to support decision-making across a diverse investment portfolio.<br>• Prepare clear and timely financial packages, including materials for leadership and board-level reporting.<br>• Apply Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) in financial reporting and ensure compliance across all relevant entities.<br>• Support inventory-related accounting processes where applicable, including valuation, tracking, and reconciliation activities.<br>• Provide financial analysis and practical recommendations to help leadership assess business performance and planning priorities.
