We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a family investment office in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract basis. This position will provide maternity leave coverage while leading the full finance and accounting function across a varied portfolio spanning distribution, hospitality, and real estate. The successful candidate will bring strong financial oversight, sound judgement, and the ability to support reporting, budgeting, and operational accounting needs in a multi-entity environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities and ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date. • Manage accounts payable activities, including reviewing transactions, monitoring coding, and maintaining appropriate approval controls. • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation as required. • Develop, monitor, and refine budgets and forecasts to support decision-making across a diverse investment portfolio. • Prepare clear and timely financial packages, including materials for leadership and board-level reporting. • Apply Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) in financial reporting and ensure compliance across all relevant entities. • Support inventory-related accounting processes where applicable, including valuation, tracking, and reconciliation activities. • Provide financial analysis and practical recommendations to help leadership assess business performance and planning priorities.
