  • We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a non-profit organization in West Vancouver, British Columbia, on a Long-term Contract basis. This hybrid role supports a multi-entity environment and offers the opportunity to contribute across core accounting operations, financial reporting, and year-end activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate records, support audits, and help deliver timely financial insights for the organization.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage full-cycle accounting activities for multiple entities, including journal entries, account analysis, and month-end processing.<br>• Prepare and review bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.<br>• Produce consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while meeting established reporting deadlines.<br>• Assist with year-end financial statement preparation and provide documentation and responses during interim and annual audit processes.<br>• Monitor project-related financial activity by tracking costs, maintaining supporting records, and reviewing expenditures across operational initiatives.<br>• Partner with internal stakeholders and external contacts to resolve accounting questions and support informed business decisions.<br>• Evaluate accounting processes and help strengthen procedures that improve consistency, accuracy, and compliance in financial reporting.<br>• Provide guidance to entry-level team members and offer support on accounting treatments, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial tasks.<br>• Ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements and assist with audit and reconciliation work related to financial systems and reporting integrity.
