We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a non-profit organization in West Vancouver, British Columbia, on a Long-term Contract basis. This hybrid role supports a multi-entity environment and offers the opportunity to contribute across core accounting operations, financial reporting, and year-end activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate records, support audits, and help deliver timely financial insights for the organization. Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle accounting activities for multiple entities, including journal entries, account analysis, and month-end processing. • Prepare and review bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial records are complete and accurate. • Produce consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while meeting established reporting deadlines. • Assist with year-end financial statement preparation and provide documentation and responses during interim and annual audit processes. • Monitor project-related financial activity by tracking costs, maintaining supporting records, and reviewing expenditures across operational initiatives. • Partner with internal stakeholders and external contacts to resolve accounting questions and support informed business decisions. • Evaluate accounting processes and help strengthen procedures that improve consistency, accuracy, and compliance in financial reporting. • Provide guidance to entry-level team members and offer support on accounting treatments, reconciliations, and day-to-day financial tasks. • Ensure compliance with applicable tax requirements and assist with audit and reconciliation work related to financial systems and reporting integrity.
