  • <p>Our client is seeking a Payroll &amp; Benefits Manager to join their growing organization.</p><p><br></p><p>The Payroll &amp; Benefits Manager will report into senior leadership and be responsible for leading the payroll and benefits function across a multi-site Canadian organization. This position will oversee full-cycle payroll, employee benefits administration, payroll accounting, compliance, and a small payroll team while acting as the organization&#39;s subject matter expert for payroll and benefits. This position supports core people operations by maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating benefits and lifecycle updates, and helping ensure HR processes run smoothly and compliantly. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with HR systems, handling sensitive information with care, and delivering reliable support in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Administer HR systems by maintaining user access, system settings, workflows, and security controls to support stable and secure day-to-day operations.</p><p>• Coordinate employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, internal moves, compensation updates, promotions, and departures while ensuring information is processed accurately across connected systems.</p><p>• Uphold data quality standards by reviewing people records regularly and maintaining documentation that supports audit readiness and reporting accuracy.</p><p>• Support privacy and regulatory compliance by monitoring HR data practices, access permissions, and record management procedures in line with applicable employment and privacy requirements.</p><p>• Prepare recurring HR reports and summarize workforce data to provide leaders with clear, useful insights for decision-making.</p><p>• Lead scheduled data reviews and reconciliations across HR platforms, partnering with internal teams and external providers to investigate and correct discrepancies.</p><p>• Maintain digital employee files and ensure required documentation is complete, organized, and aligned with local and federal labour standards.</p><p>• Oversee benefits administration by processing employee changes, supporting claims activity, and coordinating health-related leave programs.</p><p>• Manage retirement savings program administration for eligible employees and provide timely support related to enrolment and plan updates.</p><p>• Assist with HR system enhancements or upgrades, including testing changes and communicating process updates or training guidance to employees as needed.</p>
