This role supports day-to-day finance operations across payables, receivables, and general accounting while helping maintain accurate records, timely payments, and reliable month-end reporting. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting processes, sound judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in a detail-oriented environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Review payable documentation for approvals, account distribution, and numerical accuracy before processing.</p><p>• Support month-end activities by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts related to vendor and customer transactions.</p><p>• Administer regular payment runs, including cheques, electronic funds transfers, wire payments, and bank drafts in both Canadian and U.S. currencies.</p><p>• Monitor accounts receivable activity by checking transaction accuracy, assisting support staff, and helping resolve day-to-day processing issues.</p><p>• Investigate billing, coding, and authorization discrepancies and work with internal teams to correct outstanding items promptly.</p><p>• Complete bank reconciliations, account analyses, and other financial reviews to support accurate ledger balances.</p><p>• Oversee petty cash records, stop-payment requests, and other routine accounting control activities.</p><p>• Provide backup support across the accounting team and contribute to testing of finance system modules when required.</p>
