- <p>Our client is seeking a detail-oriented <strong>Bookkeeper</strong> to join a retail operation in <strong>Edmonton</strong> on a contract basis. This role supports day-to-day accounting across multiple locations, with a focus on payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and accurate financial records.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Process payroll in QuickBooks for approximately 52 employees across six locations.</p><p>• Manage accounts payable, including invoice matching, vendor statements, and payments.</p><p>• Process accounts receivable transactions and maintain accurate customer balances.</p><p>• Reconcile bank and GL accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances.</p><p>• Support month-end bookkeeping and maintain organized financial documentation.</p><p>• Process recurring payments, including utilities and government remittances.</p><p>• Complete accurate accounting data entry and maintain supporting records.</p><p>• Assist with payroll process updates and the transition to a new payroll platform.</p>
