Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and lead a high-performing, payroll team. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant end-to-end payroll processing across multiple provinces, while providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to a small team. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys both people management and being actively involved in payroll operations.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a small team of Payroll Administrators</li><li>Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment</li><li>Provide training and ongoing support to ensure continuous development</li><li>Oversee and review end-to-end payroll processing for a high-volume, multi-province, unionized environment</li><li>Approve payroll to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness</li><li>Act as a backup for full-cycle payroll when required</li><li>Lead all year-end payroll activities including reconciliations and reporting</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation, including union requirements</li><li>Support internal and external payroll audits</li><li>Prepare and analyze payroll reports for internal stakeholders</li><li>Leverage Excel to manage and interpret large data sets</li><li>Work closely with Finance and HR to ensure alignment on payroll processes and reporting</li><li>Communicate payroll policies, updates, and changes clearly across all levels of the organization</li><li>Participate in and lead payroll-related projects such as upgrades or M&A activities</li><li>Support the integration of newly acquired employees into the payroll system, ensuring accurate onboarding, data validation, and alignment with internal payroll processes and policies</li><li>Partner with HR and Finance during acquisitions to ensure a smooth transition, including payroll setup, compliance, and employee communication</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies</li></ul>

We’re partnering with a manufacturing organization to hire a Cost Accounting Manager who will play a key role in driving financial performance across multiple manufacturing facilities in Canada and the United States. This is a highly visible position that sits at the intersection of finance and operations, working closely with senior leadership, plant management, supply chain, and operations teams. The successful candidate will take ownership of product costing, inventory valuation, operational reporting, and financial analysis while helping to improve processes and support continued growth. What You'll Be Doing· Lead product costing and standard costing processes across multiple manufacturing facilities· Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, labor, material usage, waste, machine efficiency, and overhead absorption· Own inventory accounting, valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts, and inventory controls· Partner with operations leaders to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and cost visibility· Deliver reporting and analysis on product, customer, and facility profitability· Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and year-end activities· Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and data-driven insights to support decision-making· Improve costing methodologies, reporting processes, and internal controls· Support ERP enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives· Collaborate with both Canadian and U.S. operations in a multi-site manufacturing environment
