- <p>We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial operations and provide sound oversight of accounting activities for our construction client in Kingston, Ontario. This position plays a key role in supporting business decisions through accurate reporting, budgeting, and payroll administration. The successful candidate will bring strong systems knowledge, a hands-on approach to financial management, and the ability to strengthen reporting processes while maintaining compliance and accuracy.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with established standards.</p><p>• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that provide clear insight into organizational performance and support leadership decision-making.</p><p>• Lead budgeting activities, monitor variances, and provide analysis to help guide financial planning and resource allocation.</p><p>• Manage payroll processes and coordinate with relevant systems to ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.</p><p>• Administer and optimize accounting software and related financial tools to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and internal controls.</p><p>• Produce customized financial analyses and ad hoc reports to address operational needs and executive requests.</p><p>• Support the maintenance and improvement of reporting frameworks using tools such as Crystal Reports and other business systems.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align financial information with operational priorities and strengthen overall data accuracy.</p>
