  • <p>We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join a wholesale distribution organization in Vaughan, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis. This position focuses on managing business-to-business receivables, evaluating customer credit exposure, and supporting timely payment activity across a diverse account portfolio. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical ability with sound judgement to resolve account issues, strengthen client relationships, and help maintain healthy cash flow.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Review customer credit profiles on a scheduled and as-needed basis to assess account standing and identify potential risk.</p><p>• Manage outstanding receivables through proactive outreach, consistent follow-up, and thorough investigation of billing discrepancies and reconciliation matters.</p><p>• Partner with teams across the business to support accurate invoicing, resolve payment concerns, and improve collection timelines.</p><p>• Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by examining financial and payment information to support informed decisions.</p><p>• Learn each client’s billing and payment procedures to ensure submissions align with their accounts payable requirements and vendor platforms.</p><p>• Prepare and maintain credit-related reports and account updates for internal stakeholders to support visibility into portfolio performance.</p><p>• Recommend practical approaches for challenging accounts, including escalation steps and short-term credit restrictions when appropriate.</p><p>• Review order requests requiring credit authorization and update key account records while responding promptly to client inquiries.</p>
