  • <p>Our client is a successful, family-owned distribution business with a long-standing reputation for customer service, operational excellence, and strong relationships with customers and suppliers. As the company continues to evolve and grow, they are seeking a hands-on and commercially minded <strong>Director, Finance &amp; Administration</strong> to oversee finance and key administrative functions across the organization. Reporting directly to the President, this is a unique opportunity to join a well-established business in a senior leadership role where you will have broad influence across Finance, Customer Service, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, IT, and Administration.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Finance &amp; Treasury</strong></p><ul><li>Lead daily cash management and rolling cash flow forecasting.</li><li>Manage banking relationships, lending facilities, covenant reporting, and lender communications.</li><li>Drive working capital performance through effective management of inventory, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.</li><li>Prepare financial analysis and business cases supporting capital expenditures and operational investments.</li><li>Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>Accounting &amp; Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.</li><li>Deliver accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting packages.</li><li>Provide actionable analysis on profitability, product margins, customer performance, inventory aging, and logistics costs.</li></ul><p><strong>Controls, Risk &amp; Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and strengthen internal controls and financial processes.</li><li>Ensure compliance with lending agreements, tax regulations, insurance requirements, and corporate policies.</li><li>Oversee annual insurance renewals and risk management initiatives.</li><li>Coordinate tax filings and compliance activities with external advisors.</li></ul><p><strong>Operational Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and develop teams across Accounting, Customer Service, Purchasing, Warehouse Operations, and IT.</li><li>Improve cross-functional processes including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management, and customer service workflows.</li><li>Oversee inventory planning, supplier performance, product availability, and working capital objectives.</li><li>Provide leadership for payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, information technology, and facilities management.</li></ul><p><strong>Business Partnership</strong></p><ul><li>Partner closely with the President to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning activities.</li><li>Deliver meaningful operational and financial insights that support business decisions.</li><li>Act as a trusted advisor on the financial and operational health of the organization.</li><li>Identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements while providing practical recommendations for action.</li></ul>
